The aligners are individually created to gradually shift teeth into place, with the next aligner in the series made slightly different than the last. The process of straightening your teeth at Camarillo Smiles using the Invisalign system is easy. It starts with a free consultation where we talk about your individual smile. Whether you have crowding, gaps, or an over-bite, we discuss how we can give you the smile you’ve always wanted.

We start off by digitally scanning your teeth, yes, no mold impressions! We can then show you a simulation of your new smile using our Itero system. We will also take some photographs and perform a comprehensive exam of your mouth. We then design your custom Invisalign aligners. With the help of some amazing 3D technology, we determine where your teeth need to be and then divide up the journey into small incremental steps to create a series of clear aligners that each lead the teeth closer to their final destination. No two smiles are alike, and each custom series of Invisalign aligners meets the unique requirements of each individual patient. Then the Invisalign 3D printers make the clear aligners.

Once you receive your aligners, simply wear each pair for about 3-7 days, then move on to the next set in your series. Most patients require 12 – 30 sets of the clear plastic aligners, worn over the course of approximately 6-12 months to achieve straight teeth and an improved smile.

How much does Invisalign cost?
One of the first questions people tend to have when considering Invisalign is, “How much will it cost?” The good news is that most people are pleasantly surprised to discover that the cost of Invisalign treatment with us is usually less expensive than conventional braces. Will insurance help pay for any of it?

About a quarter of our Invisalign patients receive insurance compensation for their treatment. On average, insurance pays between $1000-$1500 of the treatment costs.

Can I finance the treatment cost?
If your insurance does not cover all of your treatment costs or if cost is a concern for you, talk to us about payment options – we can offer flexible and affordable monthly payment plans, many with no down payment and no interest. About one-third of Invisalign patients use financing options to spread their treatment costs over time.

Can I use my flexible spending account?
Many companies offer their employees FSAs. An FSA allows you to set aside a portion of your paycheck in order to pay for qualified medical expenses with pre-tax dollars. Generally, orthodontics such as Invisalign qualifies as a qualified medical expense. Check with your employer for details.
